Appearance: Delicate coral pink

Nose: Floral and wild red berry aromas

Palate: Grenache fruit and a touch of spice

Food Pairing: Very much a food rosé, serve with Lobster and other seafood, garlicky Provençale inspired dishes, grilled salmon, linguine primavera

About the wine: Nine noble grape varieties are found at Rimauresq: Syrah, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon and Carignan for the reds, Rolle (Vermentino) and Ugni Blanc for the whites and Cinsault, Mourvedre and Tibouren for the rosés. Only the best fruit from the vineyards is kept to craft the wines and selected old vine fruit is used for the "R" rosé. This dedicated approach, combined with a modern gravity fed winery, allows Pierre Duffort and his team to focus on producing the very best Provence has to offer. In addition to Grenache Noir, Cinsault and Mourvedre, Rolle (4%) and Ugni Blanc (2%) provide perfumed complexity to the blend. The wine is stored in its lees with regular batonnage over the winter after the harvest. The result is a gorgeously aromatic and light wine with good acidity that can be cellared for up to three years.
