CANTINA TOMBACCO BIANCO IGT TERRE SICILIANE ORIGINE 2016
Nose: with peculiar Mediterranean and balsamic notes of mint, rosemary and wild herbs, the honey flavour emitted from the dried zibibbo grapes is mixed with oxidative notes resulting from the maturation in the amphora.
Palate: Hints of dehydrated fruits (apricot) tamarind, a light vanilla note,
raw sugar and aged tobacco. There is a persistent aftertaste
Food Pairing: This wine that lends itself to gastronomic experiments: try it with goat’s milk cheese or pecorino cheese; with Asian food; or as a dessert wine paired with apple tart or marzipan based desserts – our favourite Bakewell tart.
About the wine: We are all used to a choice between red, white and rosé, but there’s a fourth colour increasingly being talked about in the world of wine – orange.
