About the wine: Poppy the Frenchie wines are named after the family dog, Poppy. She is a beloved French Bulldog, who is bubbly, full of energy and as all dogs, loves a good pat!
Poppy grew up on the boutique family vineyard, visiting with Paggy and her Mum. She loves to seek shade in the vines, chase birds and during vintage receive many pats from the hand pickers, while she supervises the picking of the grapes.
1x Hugh Hamilton Jim Jim Shiraz
About the wine: Jim Jim (The Down-Underdog) was Hugh's faithful Labrador/Kelpie, a highly intelligent sheepdog that had some of the native wild dog, the dingo in its genes.
About the wine: Produced in McLaren Vale, South Australia. Scott at Rusty Mutt looked at the varieties that grow well there and the corresponding region in France. One of the most interesting whites from this area is Viognier (Condrieu appellation). Scott made the wine in a fresh aromatic style, completely un-oaked. It looks a bit like a Sauvignon Blanc on the nose and a Chardonnay on the palate.
