MISTRESS TOURIGA NACIONAL TEMPRANILLO CARIGNAN 2019

Nose: Black olive tapenade, dried herbs and strawberries

Palate: Prunes, cherries and darker fruits on the palate. Juicy acidity leaps around the mouth with light dusty tannins that are ripe and soft. Slightly fuller than the nose implies yet the acidity keeps it nice and playful

Food Pairing: Tapas. Fried things on bread. Olives and charcuterie

About the wine: Each varietal comes from a single vineyard (from Barossa, Adelaide Hills and Langhorene Creek respectively) and was partially destemmed and wild fermented until dry. Each was then matured separately for 9 months in old Burgundy barriques before blending and ageing in tank for 6 months.

What is says on the bottle: Late again with a guilty look and the smell of sweet fruit lingering all around you. Whose purple kisses are smeared all over you?

Country: Adelaide Hills, Australia

Grape Variety: Touriga Nacional 49%, Tempranillo 30%, Carignan 21%

ABV: 14%
