CLAYMORE BLACKBIRD SANGIOVESE 2023

Delicious wine deserves to look delicious too! The Claymore Blackbird Sangiovese has had a facelift - now featuring one of the unconventionally beautiful works by UK based illustrator Helena Perez Garcia. Helena has kindly granted Claymore the rights to use her work on their wine and the repackage is stunning!

As for the wine itself - a delicious iteration of this traditional Italian varietal, grown in the southern end of the Clare Valley. Bright red fruits and crunchy acid balance the appealing softness of this release. This is classic, food friendly vino - best enjoyed with large plates of shared grazing / Italian family style antipasti, charcuterie and cheeses or Spanish tapas.
