MEA CULPA VINO ROSSO ITALIA 2017

"MEA CULPA, please forgive me, but we will do it as I say now! It will be the most accurate cuvée with the greatest excellence and expression, no matter what it takes." - Mario Minini

Ironically named 'My Fault', Mario Minini believed he created the best cuvée that can be made using the Appassimento method.

The Primitivo, Shiraz and Merlot grapes for this extremely expressive blend come from two very different wine-growing regions in Italy. The Primitivo grapes are grown in Puglia, while the Shiraz and Merlot grapes are from Sicily, uniting perfectly to create this elegant, full-bodied Italian Red.

Fine notes of chocolate, with strong fruit aromas of blackberries, strawberries and dark cherries unite with notes of mocha and vanilla. On the palate, the wine shows a vivid acidity and a fine tannin structure. The full but elegant body has an exquisite structure. Aged in French oak, the Mea Culpa Vino Rosso offers notes of vanilla and tobacco in its finish.
